As a photographer (and a geeky guy in general), I like to stay up-to-date with my equipment, and sometimes, buy the latest gadgets available to improve my craft and facilitate my job.
I recently did the jump to full-frame with the purchase of a Canon 6D, and got myself a new graphics tablet and upgraded all my editing software.
But, as we all know (right?), “gear isn’t everything“. And in the past few months, since I bought the Nexus 5 (android phone), I’ve been really enjoying walking around my beautiful city, hands free, without any gear but a phone in my pocket.
I usually take a few snapshots from different angles, and edit them later in my phone using Snapseed. Most of the time I crop them in square, in order to upload on Instagram, but also because it pushes me to think about composition differently.
So here’s a little photo gallery of the city I’ve been calling home for almost a year now, which still has many secrets to discover and places to photograph.
If you enjoyed it, feel free to follow me on Instagram where I try to post regularly. And most importantly, enjoy your surrounding with (or without) the gear that you have!
UPDATE: Liked what you just saw? I did a follow-up gallery just for you to enjoy: More Granada photos through my phone’s lens.
