Ever since I left Thailand in April to settle in Granada in southern Spain, new projects and opportunities have popped up frequently. It feels like being in Europe just put me back on the radar compared to Asia. And for that, I am very grateful.
I haven’t talked much in detail about what’s coming next so I thought a short update would be helpful. Maybe I’ll even get to meet some of you while on the road!
Here’s what’s planned in the next few months, which promise to be very busy. Let me know if you’ll be around in the area so we could meet up.
TBEX is one of the world’s largest gathering of travel bloggers, writers, and new media content creators, and they’ll be meeting up in Dublin this year for the European conference.
I’m pretty excited to be one of the featured speakers during the conference (actually, it will be my first time at TBEX). Along with fellow photographer Laurence from Finding the Universe, we’ll be leading a photowalk on the 2nd of October (Pre-BEX event) in the streets of Dublin, talking about various techniques and answering all questions about photography. We’ll also be speaking about photography workflow later during the conference.
If you’re interested in joining the Photowalk, head out to the pre-BEX workshops page and register. Places are limited.
After being invited to Brindisi a few months ago, I will be heading to Italy again, this time to attend the TBDI (Travel Blogger Destination – Italy) conference in Rimini as a guest speaker.
TBDI is the first event in Italy connecting Travel Bloggers / Vloggers and the Trade Industry Hosted by TTG / TTI Rimini 2013. Its aim is to fill the gap between Opinion Leaders and the Travel Industry.
Expect 3 days of B2B, training, speed dating, conferences and networking. I will be giving a workshop about Photo for Bloggers and Destination Marketing Managers.
You can register at the TBDItaly page and check out the full schedule of events.
In November, I’ll be heading out to Chiang Mai in Thailand again to teach a photography workshop for 2 weeks. The workshops will take place during the beautiful Yi peng and Loy Krathong festivals, with thousands of lanterns released simultaneously in the sky.
I’m looking forward to going back to the city I called home for 3 years and attend the festival again.
Finally, in April 2014, I am leading my first Photography tour in New Zealand, along with Bike Beyond Boundaries, to capture the colors of fall/autumn in Central Otago and make the trip as memorable as possible.
All the details of the trip and the events are on my New Zealand tour page and registrations are open. This will be a small group to keep it enjoyable and to ensure I spend time with each and everyone and help improve the photography skills.
Don’t miss it! Who didn’t want to visit Middle-Earth during fall?
So these are the current plans for the next few months. Eventually, there’s a short trip to the UAE somewhere between November and April, but I’m not sure about the dates yet.
If you’ll be around at any of the events/workshops, let me know so we can meet up!
