The Yellow Tree ~ France

A tree losing its yellow leaves at the Jardin des Plantes in Paris, France.

Living in Thailand is amazing. We’ve got a great lifestyle and are very happy with it.

But although we have a few seasons like the rainy season, or the smoky season, I sometimes miss the cold and the colors of fall and winter.

I explained a few weeks ago how color is very important in photos, and I personally tend to be very attracted to warm colors (maybe the Leo in me). This is why I was directly drawn to this beautiful yellow tree while exploring the Jardin des Plantes in Paris, France.

The Jardin des Plantes is the main botanical garden in Paris. It was founded in 1626 and contains over 8000 plants from decorative plants to Alpine species. There’s also a botanical school and a zoo.

I highly recommend that place when you’re looking for a park to chill and spend some time while in Paris. It’s huge, quiet and a lot to learn about various plant species.

In the meantime, I’m looking forward to going to the US in October and hopefully get to capture some beautiful shots of the fall colors.

Reminder: Don’t forget about the Capture the Colour contest that’s going on with some awesome prizes to be won. This is not a voting contest, it’s a professionally judged contest by 5 judges and I’m one of them. Head out to my post about the contest and check out the details.
