So I guess it’s no secret that I love sunset/sunrise shots. Luckily, I also have an amazing view from my window when I’m working on my desk.
Now that the rainy season is over in Chiang Mai, we are having beautiful dramatic sunsets again. I have my tripod set up in my balcony, pointing towards where the sun sets and I decided to take (once again) a few more shots of sky on fire.
And just as the sun disappeared behind the clouds for the day, the sky rewarded me with a last little smiley face as a thank you token.
Can you spot it on the photo above?
Eventually, after a few minutes, as it was starting to get dark, I switched to my wide angle lens and took a long exposure of the sky during the ‘golden hour’. The whole city was really painted in a red-purple light reflected from the clouds.
Enjoy.

It’s a kitty face.
No – I can’t spot it.
Hehe, it’s right above where the sun sets. Squint a little and you’ll see it :)
I found it!
